Irish social housing project to feature 130 SANYO CO2 heat pumps

Aug. 31, 2011 – Some 130 SANYO ECO CO2 heat pump units are being installed at a pioneering housing project in Dublin, Ireland, to provide low cost, low carbon heating and hot water for the social housing apartments.

SANYO’s high efficiency ECO CO2 units were selected among a number of other heating systems considered for the housing project by Respond!, one of Ireland’s largest non-profit housing associations. The CO2 heat pumps were assessed to deliver the greatest end user and environmental benefits in terms of efficiency, operating temperatures and proven performance.

The use of CO2 heat pumps will hence enable the project meet the building regulation requirements pertaining to the use of energy (Part L of the Building Regulations covering the Conservation of Fuel and Energy in Dwellings).
