Irish social housing project to feature 130 SANYO CO2 heat pumps

Aug. 31, 2011 – Some 130 SANYO ECO CO2 heat pump units are being installed at a pioneering housing project in Dublin, Ireland, to provide low cost, low carbon heating and hot water for the social housing apartments.

SANYO’s high efficiency ECO CO₂ units were selected among a number of other heating systems considered for the housing project by Respond!, one of Ireland’s largest non-profit housing associations. The CO₂ heat pumps were assessed to deliver the greatest end user and environmental benefits in terms of efficiency, operating temperatures and proven performance.

The use of CO₂ heat pumps will hence enable the project meet the building regulation requirements pertaining to the use of energy (Part L of the Building Regulations covering the Conservation of Fuel and Energy in Dwellings).
