High unit COP does not assure system efficiency

Apr. 08, 2010 – Over 100 experts from industry, science and energy utilities attented the heat pump sypmposium of Test - und Weiterbildungszentrum Wärmepumpen und Kältetechnik (TWK) in Karlsruhe, Germany. However, planners and installers as the most important target group were underrepresented.

Often the efficiency of installed heat pump systems does not meet the customers' expectations. Therefore heat pump experts demand from manufacturers to improve education and introduce innovations faster to the market. Especially, it is important to tap the full optimizing potential of air-to-water heat pumps.
